The Roadtec RX-700 is the heavy-duty highway-class cold planer in the RX family. It has an 800 hp Cat C18 engine and cuts up to 14 in deep. Cutter housings run up to the 10 ft 6 in class. Contractors buy it for production milling that does not need the full RX-900.

The RX-700 sits between urban production mills and full-lane machines. It carries an 800 hp Caterpillar C18 and cuts up to 14 in deep. Astec offers three-track and four-track assemblies.
